Room 4
Stony meteorites

These are about 94% of meteorites recovered on Earth. They belong to two different groups: chondrites, which contain millimeter-sized spherules called chondrules, and achondrites, which do not contain these spherules. Chondrites are the oldest materials in the Solar System. Among achondrites we have, for instance the meteorites with origin on Mars and the Moon. These meteorites have their own room in this virtual museum.
